Favor started with a simple idea: What if one neighbor could help out another?

Today, everything we do comes back to this mission — and we’re continually looking for additional opportunities to put our community first and make a difference for neighbors in need.

According to Every Texan, more than 20% of Texas children live in poverty, affecting their access to educational opportunities, healthy food, stable housing, and healthcare.

In an effort to help close this gap and build a more equitable future for all Texans, we introduced the Change for Children Fund in November 2020— and thanks to a number of generous contributions, we raised $20,000 to be split equally among the following organizations:

Break the Pipeline

The Excellence & Advancement Foundation provides programs and services dedicated to breaking the school-to-prison pipeline through prevention and intervention.

POETIC

Located in Dallas, POETIC provides intensive aftercare for girls (12–18) who have experienced sexual exploitation and trafficking and empowers them to reclaim their stories.

Foster Village

Foster Village is an Austin nonprofit that serves local foster families by equipping caregivers with critical supplies and support, as well as advocating for change within the foster care system.

No Kid Hungry Texas

Due to the ongoing pandemic, it’s estimated that Texas now has more food-insecure children than any other state in the nation. No Kid Hungry Texas works to ensure all children have access to the nutrition they need.

These funds will be used to give children and families in underserved communities across Texas access to the care, resources, and support they need.

Thank you for being part of our community and joining us in making it more equitable for all. We look forward to continuing to support Texans through upcoming funds in 2021 and beyond.

One hundred percent of Change for Children contributions went to organizations supporting children in underserved communities across Texas. Please consult your own advisors regarding tax treatment.
